Dark Souls Patch 1.05 Promises Balance; Still Very Difficult

After idling in Japan for the past little while, Patch 1.05 for Dark Souls has finally been released to the Americas and EU. The patch aims to balance out many of the game’s minor issues as well as a few tweaks such as improved drop rates and removal of the soapstone in order to rate player messages. Several particularly potent abilities have unfortunately seen the nerfbat but I’m glad to see that things are still be balanced out appropriately.

For the curious, you can check out the unofficial patch notes at Eurogamer.
