Gaikai To Offer Cloud-Streaming MMOs Playable Via Browser

Gaikai has partnered with Warner Bros to begin streaming The Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online to players across North America via each game’s own website. Gaikai is streaming MMO’s for the first time via its cloud-based server system, allowing its users to play games instantaneously without the need for download or installation.

Given the market for MMOs, Gaikai may have tapped into a solid base for players who aren’t willing to pony up the cash for a PC rig and have the same experience, barring any latency issues.
