Grand Theft Auto Helps Save Lives

Mywebtimes.com is reporting that controvesial video game Grand Theft Auto helped an 11-year-old girl save her family from a car wreck.

Audrey Plique was on her way to vist relatives with five other family members in the car, when the Jeep, travelling at about 60mph, struck a gaurd rail and flipped over four times.

Audrey had realised that the back window of the car had broken, and she climbed out and proceeded to pull out the rest of her family members. She and her father then made their way back to the road where they managed to get someone driving past to pull over and call 911.

“I was really scared. I didn’t know what to do,” Audrey said. “But I knew I had to help.”

According to her mother, Karen Norris, she learnt from playing popular video game Grand Theft Auto that after cars flip over, they can explode. Having seen this in the video game, Audrey knew the same thing could happen to her family if she didn’t do something.

“She showed the kind of bravery and courage you don’t expect from an 11-year-old,” Norris said. “She stayed composed. She sounded upset, but she knew the things she had to get done to help her parents and her siblings.”

“My mom said that because of me, her babies are safe,” Audrey said. “When I heard her say that, I was really relieved.”

This news story comes after much controversy surronding the Grand Theft Auto series’ violent nature. Over the past few years several murders have been blamed on the series, and several law suits have been filed against it’s publisher Rockstar Games, most of which have been unsuccessfull. You could get a free car check for your vehicle if needed.
