Resident Evil 5 Getting Gears-Like Controls

Capcom’s action and survial horror Resident Evil series may be taken a Western approach with the annoucement that Resident Evil 5 control scheme is inspired by Epic Games’ shooter, Gears of War.

It wouldn’t have been the first that Resident Evil borrowed from Epic as the sequel will support 2-player, drop-in drop-out cooperative play and Gears-like cover system.

The new Gears-esque Resident Evil 5 is due out March 19, 2009 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
