Microsoft has announced that Left 4 Dead’s Survival Pack DLC will be releasing on April 21.

The free Survival Pack will include the new Survival game mode, where players are pitted against hordes of unceasing zombie waves in an attempt to survive as long as possible. Survival Mode includes 12 new maps, 11 being sections of existing levels, and 1 specifically created for the mode – Lighthouse.

The pack will also bring Versus Mode to the final two co-op campaigns, Dead Air and Death Toll. The release will coincide with the release of Left 4 Dead: Critics Choice Edition which includes the original game plus the Survival Pack.

Interesting, I’ll ask for clarification from earlier reports. Most of the outlets are stating it as 12+1maps, IGN states 16+1. Thanks for bringing it up.
