I’ll be taking the helm for the assorted video game news for today, so lets get right down to it.
Final Fantasy I and II Heading to iPhone
If you aren’t convinced that the iPhone is a gaming platform, this should immediately prove you wrong. Square Enix has announced through Facebook that the first two games from the Final Fantasy series will be coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch…with revamped graphics. No price or release date has been detailed but stellar news nonetheless for portable gamers.
Metal Gear Peace Walker PSP Bundles Revealed
Konami has announced the existence of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker PSP bundles, as such there are two detailed. One titled Premium Package includes a PSP-3000, Peace Walker, camouflage cleaning cloth, a carrying case, and a wrist strap. The Konamistyle Package, only available on the Konami website, includes all of the above plus a glass stand for your PSP, numbered dogtags, and a booklet.
Level Cap Increase Coming to Borderlands
Gearbox Software has good news for those sitting pretty at level 50. The developer’s next add-on DLC will increase the level cap. Here’s the block of text from their forums that you won’t read:
Sorry, I haven’t gotten to post on the forums in a while! After finalizing Zombies DLC, the team and I began reading the DLC feedback around the forums on the wants and desires. Guess what, level cap increase anyone? Got it and it’s awesome. Hopefully we can get a full announcement out to you guys soon but, man is this the biggest DLC we have made. So don’t worry, we are working really hard right now on both the update (that solves a bunch of issues) and the DLC. More to come guys!!
Heavy Rain Demo Due Out in Europe February 11th
If you’ve been following this game, you’ll be no doubt be stoked to play the demo in a couple of weeks. Sony previously announced plans to release a demo before the game’s release. Heavy Rain comes out February 23 in the US and February 26 in the UK.
