Bizarre ‘Theatrhythm’ 3DS Final Fantasy Game Announced

Square Enix is entering the music rhythm genre with a touch of Final Fantasy. Silconera reports that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy allows players to explore dungeons and towns but utilizing the stylus to incorporate rhythmic beats. The game is scheduled for a release on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan but no details of a North American release were given.

As a proprietary Final Fantasy spin-off, a smorgasbord of Final Fantasy characters join the roster like Cloud, Lightning, the Onion Knight, and the Warrior of Light. Similar to the Dissidia series, Theatrhythm may keep its final name if it ever comes stateside. If.
