Llamasoft – The Jeff Minter Story
Digital Eclipse’s next entry in The Gold Master Series documents British gaming icon, Jeff Minter.
You’ll be able to play the entire history of Llamasoft including games from the unreleased Konix Multi-System hardware and a remaster of Gridrunner. Peruse through a treasure trove of design documents, archival photos, and video featurettes from the independent game designer.
Nirvana Noir
Feral Cat Den and Fellow Traveller announced Nirvana Noir, the sequel to Genesis Noir. The reveal trailer shows a city of cosmic beings under threat in two parallel realities. One where the Big Bang was never fired, the other exploding in color and sin. It’s up to the player to solve the mysteries of the Bigger Bang in the follow-up to the award winning game.
Loose Leaf: A Tea Witch Simulator
Kitfox Games has announced their newest game, Loose Leaf which has you brewing teas and reading tarot cards. It’s a witchy sandbox simulator that was inspired by the creator’s own experience. You’ll be able to guide spirits through the medium and experiment with different brews through recipes. Read the tea leaves and wishlist the game on Steam.
Kind Words 2 (lofi city pop)
The sequel to the first Kind Words has been announced and is set to release in 2024. Players will be able to write to real folks once again and will include a new area to explore. It heralds the return of letters, stickers, and rooms from the first game. You can stay in your cozy room or decide to explore the new lofi city. From there, you can customize your wardrobe and interact with the community by participating in a poetry jam or swapping recommendations. Good vibes ahead.
The Mermaid’s Tongue
SFB Games revealed a murder mystery detective game set on a mysterious submarine titled The Mermaid’s Tongue. Set to release in 2024, this is a successor to Tangle Tower which will feature the detective duo Grimoire and Sally. You’ll be able to interrogate suspects, explore environments, solve puzzles, and collect clues to find the submarine captain’s killer. A balance of light-hearted humor and heavy themes accompany an original orchestral soundtrack from the Budapest Art Orchestra.
