After revealing a combat trailer a few months ago, Konami and Bloober Team provided another look at the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake at the State of Play. This new trailer takes a more atmospheric approach and shows both gameplay and story, as well as our first look at Angela.
Silent Hill 2 will be out on October 8 for the PS5 and PC. Digital pre-orders have now opened, with digital pre-order bonuses revealed to be a Mira the Dog mask and a Robbie the Rabbit mask. Pre-orders of the Digital Deluxe Edition will also include 48-hour early access, in addition to those two masks and the digital bonuses included in the deluxe edition.
After the State of Play, we got to see even more from Silent Hill 2 through the Silent Hill Transmission showcase. This nearly 14-minute gameplay video provides a greater look at the combat and exploration, as well as scenes featuring Maria and Laura.
Between the two trailers, we now have a pretty good grasp on what the Silent Hill 2 remake will be like when it releases this October. A film adaptation of Silent Hill 2 called Return to Silent Hill is also being made.
