Today, BioWare and Electronic Arts provided the first look at Dragon Age: The Veilguard gameplay, with a 20-minute video from near the start of the game. As the new customizable protagonist Rook, you’ll set out on a quest to stop the destruction being caused by the Elven gods along with seven companions, all of whom have their own stories and motivations. In this opening section, the characters set out to try to stop the ritual that will tear down the Veil, following the story set up at the end of Inquisition.
Combat features action alongside tactical decision-making through the new ability wheel. Players will have three combat classes to choose from, Warrior, Mage, and Rogue, and fight alongside two companions in the active party. There will be a hub area called the Lighthouse at which players can relax and talk to characters, and the Crossroads will allow you to explore numerous regions.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released in Fall 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
