Turn-Based RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Announced for 2025

The Xbox Games Showcase included the announcement of a new turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive titled Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. In a world where the Paintress awakens once a year to paint a number, at which point everyone of that age fades away, you follow an expedition on a desperate quest to end the cycle.

Described as a “reactive turn-based RPG,” Clair Obscur combines turn-based combat with engaging offensive and defensive commands to let you dodge, parry, and counter attacks as well as target enemy weak points. Skill trees and other customization options will open up a range of strategies.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is planned to be released in 2025.
