Split Fiction Trailer Reveals Co-op Gameplay and Side Stories

Hazelight Studios has dropped an exciting new trailer for their upcoming co-op adventure Split Fiction, giving players a deeper look at its inventive mechanics, dynamic gameplay, and unique Side Stories. The game launches on March 6, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

A Glimpse Into Split Fiction’s Co-op Chaos

The latest trailer, presented by Hazelight founder Josef Fares, showcases the studio’s signature co-op gameplay that seamlessly blends sci-fi and fantasy elements. The gameplay is packed with thrilling sequences, including sandfish surfing and snowboarding through a futuristic battlefield, all taking place during Side Stories.

These optional Side Stories offer standalone adventures hidden within the main game’s levels, adding variety to the gameplay while expanding on the world and characters.

The Power of Collaboration

In Split Fiction, players control Mio, a pragmatic sci-fi writer, and Zoe, an imaginative fantasy novelist. As the pair navigates through surreal, contrasting worlds, they must work together to overcome challenges, acquire new tools, and build skills. The game’s heart lies in teamwork and the unfolding story of friendship between the two protagonists.

Crossplay and Friend’s Pass Included

Hazelight makes playing together easier than ever with PlayStation, Xbox, and PC crossplay support. Additionally, the game includes a Friend’s Pass, allowing players to invite a friend to join them for free, even if their friend doesn’t own the game.

Split Fiction Release Date and Pricing

Split Fiction will launch on March 6, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app. The game will be priced at $49.99.
