Capybara fans, your time is now. Kitten Cup Studio (Pekoe) and publisher Big Blue Sky Games (Merchants of Rosewall) have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming narrative adventure, ahead of more reveals planned for Toronto Games Week (June 12–18). The latest trailer offers a first look at the game’s whimsical storytelling, environmental puzzle-solving, and lovable animal cast—all set to a gentle original score by A Short Hike composer Mark Sparling.
A Cozy Tale of Getting Lost—and Finding Something New
Capy Castaway follows Capy, a capybara who’s swept away from their zoo home by a massive flood, only to awaken on an unfamiliar island. There, they meet Corvi, a surprisingly talkative crow with a knack for snark and survival. Together, the two must help locals, solve environmental puzzles, and uncover what “home” really means.
Inspired by the real-life escapades of Bonnie and Clyde—the infamous capybara escapees of Toronto’s High Park Zoo in 2016—Capy Castaway is a tribute to joyful exploration and gentle discovery.
