The Elder Scrolls Online Reveals New Trailer for Seasons of the Worm Cult at Xbox Showcase

Bethesda brought more fantasy firepower to the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 with a brand-new trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online: Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1. The update is available now for PC and Mac, with the console launch arriving June 18.

The trailer highlights everything players can dive into—whether they’re long-time adventurers or returning heroes coming back for the first time in years.

A New Adventure in Western Solstice

Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1 opens a fresh chapter in the ongoing ESO saga, set in the mysterious region of Western Solstice. Players will explore new landscapes, meet captivating characters, and continue the main storyline that has spanned more than a decade.

ZeniMax emphasizes that Tamriel’s latest adventure is built for all kinds of playstyles—whether you’re venturing alone or teaming up with the global ESO community, from solo questing to cooperative dungeon runs.

Subclassing and Hero’s Return

Alongside the new expansion, all ESO players now have access to Update 46, the latest free base-game patch. This includes the new Subclassing system, which allows deeper character customization by mixing and matching class Skill Lines for a more flexible combat experience.

For returning players, the Hero’s Return system is designed to ease you back in with helpful tutorials and rewards, making it easier than ever to pick up where you left off.

“Explore a diverse fantasy world, experience rich stories and unforgettable characters, and forge your own path in the legendary setting of the Elder Scrolls,” Bethesda says. “You belong here.”
