Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Adds Lagiacrus, Seregios, New Event Quests and More

Capcom has unveiled the full details for Title Update 2 of Monster Hunter Wilds, and it’s a wild one. Launching June 30, the update marks the return of two fan-favorite monsters—Lagiacrus and Seregios—alongside a trove of new quests, layered weapons, photo mode upgrades, and a seasonal event packed with flashy gear and celebratory flair.

Lagiacrus, the electrifying Leviathan last seen in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, returns with a twist: players can expect segments of their fight to dive into newly expanded underwater combat mechanics. Director Yuya Tokuda noted the monster’s personal importance, being the first flagship he designed from start to finish, making its inclusion here especially significant.

Meanwhile, the speedy, scale-launching wyvern Seregios—known for its bleeding-inducing attacks and aerial acrobatics—makes its Wilds debut with upgraded moves designed to keep even seasoned hunters on their toes.

Once you’ve cleared your initial story missions, both monsters become available as 8★ Tempered quests for players at Hunter Rank 41 and above. And if that’s not enough, Arch-tempered Uth Duna will land as a limited-time Event Quest and Free Challenge Quest starting July 30, with rewards including the sleek new Uth Duna γ armor set for both hunters and Palicoes.

Fashion, Features, and Festivities

Title Update 2 introduces Layered Weapons, letting players carry their hard-earned endgame gear into battle with serious style. This includes final tree weapons, Rarity 8 Artian gear, and select High-Rank Palico weapons. New Photo Mode options make it easier to showcase your builds, with lighting, filters, and character visibility controls that now let you hide your Handler, Seikret, or Palico for cleaner shots.

Need more backup in the field? The update also introduces Support Hunter customization. You can now choose who joins you on quests, including the new Support Hunter Mina, a Sword & Shield specialist from the Vespae Unit, and Erik, an inquisitive biologist who fills in for Alma in the Avis Unit.

On July 23, Capcom kicks off the Festival of Accord: Flamefete, a fiery seasonal event featuring limited-time Grand Hub decorations, new equipment, event meals, gestures, and more. The festivities heat up even further in August, when Fender’s Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster® makes an in-game appearance as a rockin’ limited-time gesture starting August 27.

Additional paid and free DLC also drops with the update, including four new dance gestures, Cosmetic DLC Pack 2, and Premium Deluxe content.

Title Update 3 is slated for late September, so stay tuned, hunters.
