The world of Oceanhorn is back—and this time, it’s bringing friends. Developer Cornfox & Bros. and publisher FDG Entertainment have announced that Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, a pixel-art roguelite dungeon crawler set in the same mythic universe as Oceanhorn and Oceanhorn 2, will launch on Steam this Friday, June 27, at 9:00 AM CEST. The game will debut at a discounted launch price of $8.99 with a 15% off sale for early buyers.
Already available on iOS and Android, Chronos Dungeon invites players to dive into a randomly generated labyrinth alone or with up to three friends via couch co-op. Designed to be approachable for genre newcomers yet deep enough for returning fans, the game’s blend of 16-bit nostalgia and modern roguelite elements creates a breezy, pick-up-and-play adventure.
A Time-Twisting Quest Through the Uncharted Sea
Set long after the fall of the White City and the fracturing of Arcadia, Chronos Dungeon follows four adventurers—Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage—on a quest through the depths of the titular dungeon in search of the legendary Paradigm Hourglass, an artifact said to possess the power to alter history itself. With every floor reshuffling through randomized modifiers and stat bonuses determined by your zodiac sign, no two dungeon runs are the same.
The game’s accessible design means players can control all four heroes solo or team up locally with friends or family. Its retro soundtrack, massive boss battles, and instant class-switching add layers of variety, making each run feel distinct and packed with surprises.
A Milestone for Cornfox & Bros.
Heikki Repo, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Cornfox & Bros., calls the Steam release “a shared journey that players can experience by themselves or alongside friends or family,” highlighting the game’s local co-op design. The re-release also comes as the studio celebrates its 15th anniversary.
