Capcom was at Summer Game Fest 2025 with a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the upcoming new entry in the action-adventure Onimusha series. The latest trailer, titled “Formidable Foes Emerge,” shows off the game’s swordplay and some of the dangerous enemies Musashi will face, such as the towering Genma known as Daidara. In addition to the sword, the trailer provides a glimpse of a hammer-like weapon that can shatter the air.
It also introduces Sasaki Ganryu, a new character who also wields an Oni Gauntlet. He is Musashi’s rival, and like Musashi, is based on a historical figure.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is due out in 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
