Ahead of its playable debut at BitSummit the 13th: Summer of Yokai, Tokyo-based publisher Shueisha Games and solo developer Koeda have revealed a new gameplay trailer and opened signups for a Limited-Time Demo Event of their stylish match-gem roguelite ANTHEM#9.
From July 18–20, attendees at BitSummit in Kyoto will be able to try a new build of ANTHEM#9, which includes both a comprehensive Tutorial Mode and an Extra Mode featuring three difficulty tiers. Fans not attending the event can still get their hands on the game later this month by joining the official Discord server and registering before July 20.
New Trailer Showcases Expert-Level Combos
A brand-new trailer for ANTHEM#9 has been released, offering high-level strategies and visual breakdowns for mastering the game’s Expert Mode. The trailer highlights the game’s signature RGB gem-based combat system, which lets players rearrange color-coded gems to trigger powerful combos and strategic attacks.

Try the New Demo at BitSummit or Online
The demo at BitSummit 2025 includes:
- Tutorial Mode – Learn how to match gems, trigger combos, and master the game’s foundational mechanics.
- Extra Mode – Choose from Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulties for a tailored roguelite challenge.
- Expert-Level Gameplay – Master more complex techniques shown in the new trailer to dominate tougher fights.
If you can’t attend BitSummit in person, there’s still a chance to play: a Limited-Time Demo Event will grant Discord members access to the same BitSummit build starting July 31, 2025.
Join the Discord and Play the Demo Early
To play the online demo, fans must join the official ANTHEM#9 Discord server between July 8 and July 20. Members will be the first to receive access to the demo, community updates, and behind-the-scenes dev insights directly from Koeda.
The Discord will also serve as the central hub for feedback, fan events, and Q&A sessions as the game continues development.
