NIS America has officially revealed Cladun X3, the next entry in its cult-classic pixel RPG series. Launching digitally later this year for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam, Cladun X3 invites players back into the chaotic, trap-filled dungeons of Arcanus Cella—this time as one of the villains in a cutthroat “death game” for world peace.
Like its predecessors, Cladun X3 blends action RPG gameplay with deep customization and quirky humor. But this time around, the stakes are even higher, with evil characters from across dimensions battling through randomized Ran-geons and story-driven death gauntlets to determine who gets to reshape the world.
Customize Everything, Survive Anything
Whether you’re slicing through pixelated monsters or dodging spike traps, Cladun X3 gives players full creative control. You can:
- Customize your characters, from appearance to spritework.
- Forge your own gear, including weapons, armor, and magical trinkets.
- Compose your own background music with the game’s in-depth music editor.
- Design towns and structures to shape your Arcanus Cella experience.
Players can choose from six weapon types and ten different job classes, each with unique stats, gear affinities, and layouts for the return of the Magic Circle system—a mechanic where inactive party members support the lead character with stat boosts and passive skills… or just serve as damage-absorbing meat shields.
