Com2uS is bringing the dark fantasy world of Tougen Anki to life in a brand-new RPG titled Tougen Anki: Crimson Inferno, set to debut at Tokyo Game Show 2025 this September. Inspired by the manga and upcoming TV anime adaptation, the game will deliver a cross-platform RPG experience for mobile and PC.
A Dark Fantasy Reimagined in 3D
Based on Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood, the anime and manga tell the tale of a centuries-old conflict between the bloodlines of Momotaro and the Oni (demons), reframing Japanese folklore into an action-packed saga. The game version, Crimson Inferno, aims to faithfully translate the original’s intense storytelling and cast of dynamic characters into a 3D, narrative-rich experience.
Com2uS promises that the game’s visuals and animation direction will match the anime’s high-energy tone while offering players an immersive RPG structure with character-driven progression, tactical combat, and cinematic storytelling.
First Look and Online Presence
To build hype ahead of Tokyo Game Show, Com2uS has launched official X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube channels, complete with a newly revealed brand identity and early gameplay footage. These platforms will serve as the main source of updates and community interaction leading up to the launch.
A Growing Franchise
Originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion, Tougen Anki has grown steadily since its debut. With over 4 million manga copies in circulation and a TV anime airing this July, the series has expanded across media through its ambitious Tougen Anki Project, which now includes manga, anime, stage play, and soon, this RPG.
The game marks the third major installment in the project and aims to capitalize on the IP’s momentum by reaching global fans through Tokyo Game Show’s worldwide stage.
