Where Winds Meet Final Beta Test Begins July 25 on PC and PS5

The Wuxia action-adventure Where Winds Meet is entering its final closed beta phase later this month, and Everstone Studio is inviting players around the world to join the journey. Beginning July 25, the weeklong test will be available on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5, introducing a brand-new explorable city: the sprawling urban capital of Kaifeng.

Beta sign-ups are now live on the official website, and will remain open through July 24. Players selected will receive Steam beta keys ahead of the final closed beta, which runs July 25–30.

Step Into a Living Wuxia World

Set during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Where Winds Meet puts players in the role of a sword-wielding warrior navigating a volatile era. Through fast-paced martial arts combat and narrative-driven exploration, players will uncover ancient rivalries, forge their own path, and determine how history unfolds around them.

The game features an expansive open world that evolves based on player decisions, from restoring ruined farmland to transforming neglected alleyways into bustling neighborhoods.

Explore the Capital: Kaifeng

The final test adds Kaifeng, a densely populated city more than 1 million square meters in size. Players can roam its streets freely, encountering a cast of over 10,000 dynamic NPCs, each with their own routines, secrets, and potential story arcs. Kaifeng contrasts with earlier wilderness zones by offering a vibrant snapshot of urban life: opulent palace halls, shadowy ghost markets, and bustling commercial districts all invite players to interact, investigate, and influence.

Fight With Style, Live With Culture

Where Winds Meet features a unique Eastern martial arts combat system—players can wield swords, polearms, and other weapons while chaining together fast, fluid attacks. But it’s not all combat: players can relax in bathhouses, attend traditional opera, or engage in peaceful pastimes rooted in Chinese history and culture.

Localization will be available in English, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese for this test, with more support planned ahead of the full release.
