Saroasis Studios has officially announced that Fate Trigger will enter Early Access in Q1 2026 following the success of its recent Closed Beta Test, which attracted hundreds of thousands of players. With its anime-inspired style, cross-platform ambitions, and mix of accessible and competitive modes, Fate Trigger aims to carve its own place in the crowded battle royale and FPS market.

In addition to its Early Access debut, Saroasis confirmed that the game will eventually feature cross-platform play as well as first-person point-of-view modes for select game types.

Beyond the Game: Building a Living Universe

More than just a competitive shooter, Fate Trigger is being designed as a living universe. Saroasis Studios plans to expand the brand beyond the screen with esports competitions, community events, and even offline media releases.

“Players want more than just matches,” the studio explained, citing the merging popularity of anime culture and battle royale games. “They’re chasing deep lore, iconic characters, and immersive worlds they can explore with friends.”

Highlights from Gamescom 2025

At gamescom, Saroasis put its esports ambitions front and center with live competitions featuring streamer-led teams from around the world, including Tuonto, Kariyu, BTMC, Keeoh+, Locklear, Skyrroz, Dhalucard, Rpr, Schrodinger, and Arii. The booth also featured cosplay performances and gameplay showcases that spotlighted new beta content.

Players got their first look at new heroes like:

  • Bloodprowler Ryoin – A wolf-animoid assassin.
  • Crystalscar Cynric – A mysterious fighter with crystalline powers.
  • Lootracer Mindy – A fast-paced scavenger specialist.

Fresh vehicles also joined the fray, including a high-speed motorcycle for flanking maneuvers and a rugged armored SUV for squad defense and pushes.

Accessible, Competitive, and Fun

The Closed Beta highlighted Fate Trigger’s design philosophy: simple to pick up, but with plenty of depth to master. Quick modes like Rapid Trials and 8v8 Team Deathmatch allow new players to learn mechanics before stepping into Ranked Matches, which offer a mix of tactical intensity and competitive polish for veterans.

With its strong beta showing and esports-ready ambitions, Fate Trigger looks to balance casual fun with competitive depth when it arrives in Early Access next year.
