EA and PopCap Studios have announced Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, a fully remastered version of the 2009 tower defense classic. This new edition launches October 23, 2025, on PC (Steam, Epic, EA App), Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Revamped with HD visuals, new game modes, and tons of bonus content, Replanted aims to delight longtime fans and new players alike with a chaotic, colorful twist on the formula that made Plants vs. Zombies a household name.
Classic Roots, New Petals
Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted preserves the original’s lane-based strategy gameplay while introducing several new features:
- Local Co-Op & PvP – Team up with a friend or battle against them in fast-paced backyard chaos.
- Cloudy Day Mode – A brand-new challenge mode that restricts sunlight and planting ability for an added layer of strategy.
- Classic Minigames Return – From “Whack-a-Zombie” to “Vasebreaker,” beloved minigames are back and better than ever.
- Franchise Archive Mode – Unlock behind-the-scenes content chronicling the creation and rise of the PvZ franchise.
