Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Demo Now Available on Switch, PS5, Xbox, and PC

SEGA and Lizardcube have released a free demo for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, a brand-new 2D action platformer and spiritual successor to the classic arcade series. The game officially launches August 29, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC—but you can jump into the action starting today with the demo.

Developed by the team behind Streets of Rage 4, Art of Vengeance stars iconic ninja Joe Musashi on a new journey of revenge across richly illustrated, hand-drawn stages.

Explore Oboro Village, Slash Enemies, and Uncover Secrets

The demo lets players experience the first level, Oboro Village, packed with fast-paced combat, secret paths, and enemy ambushes. Designed to showcase the game’s tight action and stylish visuals, it also features:

  • Arcade Mode, where players can replay for high scores
  • Late-game combat abilities unlocked early for demo purposes
  • Hidden routes and surprises for multiple playthroughs

Whether you’re a longtime Shinobi fan or a newcomer, this early taste delivers both challenge and flair.
