The video dives into the future of the franchise, showcasing gameplay improvements, customization options, and the roadmap that will shape the ever-evolving skateboarding sandbox of San Vansterdam.
The Return of the Flick-It System
At the core is the iconic Flick-It system, rebuilt in Frostbite for improved precision and responsiveness. Alongside fan-favorite mechanics, players will find new moves like powerslides and wallies, expanding the way they can express themselves on the board.
San Vansterdam Awaits
Players will drop into San Vansterdam, a vibrant skateboarding hub featuring four unique neighborhoods filled with skate spots, plazas, rooftops, and parks. With the new ability to go vertical, players can explore hidden areas and use the Quick Drop system to place ramps, rails, and benches anywhere in the city to create their own perfect session.
Skatepedia, Customization, and More
The new Skatepedia serves as an in-game guide to tricks, styles, and techniques, making the game more accessible for newcomers. Full Circle also teased future updates to skater customization, including more detailed outfits, tattoos, and other ways to make each character feel unique.
Seasonal Content and Live Service Roadmap
Early Access marks just the beginning, with skate. evolving through seasonal updates and themed events.
- Season 1 will celebrate the golden era of skateboarding in the 90s, introducing new skateable areas, challenges, cosmetics, music tracks, and limited-time events like Skate-o-Ween and 7-Ply Maple Harvest.
- Season 2 and 3 will expand further, adding party voice chat, replay editor improvements, and fan-requested tricks like impossibles and darkslides.
A new skate.Pass will offer both free and premium tracks filled with rewards and seasonal challenges, keeping progression fresh throughout each season.
