Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Reveals Year 2 Roadmap and Techmarine Class

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have revealed the Year 2 content roadmap for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, celebrating the game’s anniversary with its biggest patch yet on September 4, 2025. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the Anniversary Update will mark the beginning of a full year of free updates while also introducing a brand-new Season Pass packed with cosmetics.

Year 2 promises a wealth of new content for both PvE and PvP players, including entirely new modes, enemies, maps, and even a fresh playable class.

What’s Coming in Year 2

The roadmap outlines six major patches rolling out through 2025 and 2026, adding:

  • Four new Operations and a new Siege map
  • Two Eternal War arenas
  • New Stratagems (PvE) and the Helbrute Onslaught (PvP) mode
  • New playable class: The Techmarine
  • New weapons and free weapon variants
  • New enemies and bosses
  • Expanded progression mechanics

Players will first see these updates in action when the Anniversary Update launches on September 4.

Season Pass II & Cosmetic DLC

Alongside the free Anniversary Update, Focus and Saber are rolling out Season Pass II, which adds nine DLC packs over the coming year.

The first two DLCs arrive September 4:

  • Black Templars Champion Pack – Includes a new Champion skin for the Bulwark class and a Power Sword skin.
  • Imperial Fists Cosmetic Pack – Features over 40 cosmetics celebrating seven Imperial Fists Successor Chapters.

As the year continues, new cosmetic packs will highlight both classic and fan-favorite Space Marine Chapters, from Blood Angels and Salamanders to Raptors, Iron Hands, and even the Carcharodons.

A Call to Arms

With more enemies, more classes, and more ways to crush the foes of the Imperium, Space Marine 2 is set for another massive year of action. The Anniversary Update drops September 4, offering free content updates and expanded customization for all players.

Players can also engage with the devs, share feedback, and unlock exclusive rewards on Focus Together, the publisher’s new community hub.
