Announced just 3 months ago, Soft Rains released a new story trailer for their upcoming Sci-Fi cleaning sim titled Ambrosia Sky. The story trailer tells us more about the protagonist of the game, Dalia, and sheds a little light on both what players can expect to be doing and also why.
That’s up to you now, Dalia. So make it mean somet hing.
Ambrosia Sky, developed by Soft Rains, has players take on the role of Dalia as she returns home to investigate the strange circumstances that led to the death of everyone there. Soft Rains pitches the game as a combination of Metroid Prime and PowerWash Simulator. The story trailer shows a lot of cleaning, swinging from a hook shot, and a lot of story.
Things are bad at Dalia’s home on the outer rings of Saturn. A sentient alien contamination has done considerable damage, and Dalia makes the trek home not just to clean up, but to understand the reason why this happened.
Ambrosia Sky is being co-developed by both Soft Rains and Blackbird Interactive. Blackbird Interactive, perhaps best known for their sci-fi break ’em down (since we’re using these terms colloquially) game about a dystopian future where the player takes on an enormous amount of debt and pays it off by deconstructing spaceships.
