Independent Toronto-based developer Soft Rains has announced that Act One of Ambrosia Sky, the studio’s atmospheric first-person sci-fi immersive sim, will launch on November 10 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Acts Two and Three are slated for release in 2026.
Revealed today with a brand-new trailer, Ambrosia Sky invites players to step into a world of decay, memory, and strange beauty. You’ll take on the role of Dalia, a field scientist returning to a once-thriving farming colony on Saturn’s outer rings now overrun by alien fungi and haunted by the remains of those who lived there. Armed with a chemical sprayer and a grappling tether, players must cleanse the corruption, uncover the truth, and lay the dead to rest.
A Meditative, System-Driven Sci-Fi Experience
Blending FPS mechanics with cleaning simulation and zero-gravity exploration, Ambrosia Sky turns environmental storytelling into both challenge and ritual. Every fungal species presents its own danger; some explode, others electrify, and some stalk you through the decaying corridors.
Players can craft new ammo types from harvested spores, upgrade their sprayer, and enhance their tether for advanced navigation through zones where gravity itself shifts unpredictably. Between the chaos, moments of quiet reflection allow Dalia to memorialize the fallen, revealing the personal and planetary consequences of humanity’s search for immortality.
