Capcom came out swinging during today’s Nintendo Direct, delivering three major announcements that span survival horror, monster raising, and a fan-favorite RPG revival. From the haunted halls of the Wrenwood Hotel to the skies of a divided kingdom and even the far reaches of Wave World, 2026 is shaping up to be a huge year for Capcom fans.
Resident Evil Requiem Brings New Horrors to Switch 2 in February 2026
The biggest surprise of the Direct was the reveal of Resident Evil Requiem, launching on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on February 27, 2026.
Set 30 years after the Raccoon City outbreak, Requiem follows Grace Ashcroft, a young FBI analyst investigating the terrifying mysteries of the Wrenwood Hotel. Haunted by the tragic death of her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, Grace’s journey weaves together new antagonists, locations, and weapons in what Capcom calls the next era of survival horror.
Alongside Requiem, Capcom will release Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition on Switch 2 the same day, bundling in all DLC and expansions.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Soars in March
Fans of monster-raising adventures won’t have to wait long. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection arrives on March 13, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Set two centuries after a war that split kingdoms apart, the story begins when twin Rathalos hatch from a single egg, setting off a tale of forbidden lands and fate-twisting battles. Riders will raise Monsties, bond with them, and fight together in a strategic turn-based system that blends exploration, kinship, and epic monster showdowns.
With enhanced 3D visuals, expanded storytelling, and classic monster-raising gameplay, Twisted Reflection looks ready to be both an entry point for newcomers and a massive upgrade for longtime fans.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Brings the Series Back in 2026
Capcom also announced a blast from the past: the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, launching in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
The collection compiles all seven games from the Star Force trilogy, including Pegasus, Leo, Dragon, Zerker x Ninja, Zerker x Saurian, Black Ace, and Red Joker. Players will once again join Geo Stelar and Omega-Xis as they battle galactic threats using fast-paced action and a unique card-based combat system.
Capcom is enhancing the experience while preserving the original gameplay, ensuring both longtime fans and newcomers can dive into one of Mega Man’s most unique eras.
A Massive 2026 for Capcom
From survival horror to monster-raising RPGs and classic Mega Man action, Capcom has stacked 2026 with some of its biggest releases yet. Whether you’re braving the Wrenwood Hotel, riding into battle with Monsties, or jacking into the Wave World, there’s plenty for fans to look forward to next year.
