Behaviour Interactive has unleashed Dead by Daylight: Sinister Grace, a new chapter steeped in Thai folk horror, grotesque gore, and some of the most unsettling body horror yet seen in the Fog. The update introduces a new Killer, The Krasue, and a new Survivor, Vee Boonyasak, bringing both beauty and terror to the asymmetrical horror game.
Kill as The Krasue
Once a celebrated opera singer named Burong Sukapat, The Krasue’s tragic fall into horror has left her cursed to stalk the Fog as a gruesome predator. Her design leans heavily into Thai myth, depicting her as a floating, skinless head trailing bloody entrails while hunting Survivors.
Gameplay-wise, The Krasue shifts between two forms:
- Body Form: Move across the map and spit a Leeching Gland, weakening Survivors.
- Head Form: Pursue victims directly with an Intestinal Whip, delivering devastating strikes once they’re cursed.
Mastering her duality is crucial; she’s one of the most technically demanding Killers in the roster, but also one of the most horrifying to face.
Survive as Vee Boonyasak
Balancing The Krasue’s terror is newcomer Vee Boonyasak, a Thai punk drummer from the band Axekick. Charismatic, confident, and always ready to rally allies, Vee is the perfect counterweight to the grisly new Killer.
Interestingly, Vee shares a haunting connection with Burong: his band once performed while eerie recordings of her voice echoed through the venue. Those whispers from the past have now followed him into the Fog.
Sinister Grace Collection
Both characters arrive with unique cosmetic options through the Sinister Grace Collection, which highlights their past lives as performers.
- The Krasue receives a haunting operatic costume from her stage career.
- Vee shows off his punk-inspired outfits alongside casual wear.
According to Product Director Rose Li, the goal was to emphasize the stark contrast between Burong’s operatic grace and Vee’s chaotic punk energy.
