Behaviour Interactive has dropped the next killer crossover into Dead by Daylight, and this time it’s crawling straight out of Georgia. The newest Chapter brings The Walking Dead to The Fog, introducing Survivors Rick Grimes and Michonne, along with a Legendary Daryl Dixon Outfit — all voiced by their original actors. Launching July 29, this new Chapter adds character perks, a themed tile on the Garden of Joy map, and a collection of cosmetic throwbacks for fans of the long-running AMC series.
And if you’re brave enough to walk with the dead early, the update is now available in the Public Test Build (PTB).
Rick Grimes: Lawman Turned Survivor
Rick Grimes joins Dead by Daylight as a playable Survivor, armed with grit, leadership, and a set of perks inspired by his relentless survival instincts. Voiced by Andrew Lincoln, Rick’s perks focus on pallet manipulation, aura concealment, and making dangerous saves count.
- Apocalyptic Ingenuity lets Rick replace broken pallets with fragile ones — a powerful twist for loop-savvy players.
- Come and Get Me! silences nearby injured Survivors after a save, giving them a chance to hide while Rick draws the Killer’s attention.
- Teamwork: Toughen Up reduces your visibility if someone else stuns the Killer nearby, giving you a stealthy second wind.
Michonne: Blade-Wielding Survivor
Michonne follows Rick into The Fog, equipped with a sword, steely focus, and some serious solo clutch potential. Her perks are built for healing, last-ditch escapes, and team saves during tight pallet plays.
- Conviction gives Michonne the chance to revive herself from the Dying State — if she heals in time.
- Last Stand lets her stun the Killer with a fast vault after standing firm in their terror radius.
- Teamwork: Throw Down turns a successful pallet stun into a temporary Endurance buff for nearby teammates.
Daryl Dixon Rides In As a Legendary Survivor
While Daryl isn’t a full character in the perk sense, he joins via the Legendary Daryl Dixon Outfit for Rick, giving players a chance to play as the crossbow-slinging fan favorite — complete with voice lines from Norman Reedus.

A New Map Tile Brings Back Iconic Locations
Players who load in with Rick or Michonne will trigger a special Map Tile in the Garden of Joy, themed after The Walking Dead. This space features corrupted recreations of the prison from Season 3, the hospital doors from the pilot episode, and other elements transformed by the Entity — bringing two horror universes together in one eerie mashup.

The full Dead by Daylight: The Walking Dead Chapter drops on July 29 across all platforms. It’s available now in PTB for Steam players looking to test-drive the new Survivors and Map Tile.
