IO Interactive has revealed that British actress Gemma Chan (Marvel’s Eternals, Crazy Rich Asians, The Creator) is joining the cast of 007 First Light, lending both her voice and likeness to an all-new character in the Bond universe. Chan will portray Selina Tan, MI6’s Head of Tactical Simulation, in her first-ever role in a video game.
The announcement was made during today’s Xbox Showcase, alongside a teaser introducing Selina Tan. 007 First Light launches March 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Selina Tan: A New Force Within MI6
Selina Tan brings a fresh presence to the Bond mythos. Once a promising academic with a background in psychology and strategy, she shifted to the private sector, leading advanced research in immersive technologies. Now as Head of Tactical Simulation at MI6, she’s responsible for training Britain’s top recruits through cutting-edge simulations.
Speaking about her debut, Chan shared her excitement:

Bond’s Origin Story, Reimagined
007 First Light is a standalone original story that reimagines the origins of James Bond. Gameplay emphasizes Creative Approach, giving players freedom to use stealth, spycraft, Q Branch gadgets, or direct combat to complete missions. Players can expect tense improvisation, cinematic action sequences, and Bond’s signature mix of elegance and danger—including a high-stakes midair battle aboard a hacked aircraft.

Pre-orders for 007 First Light are now live across all platforms at $69.99. All pre-orders automatically upgrade to the Deluxe Edition, which includes early access, exclusive skins, and multiple Bond outfits.
For collectors, the Specialist Edition is available exclusively on Amazon, while the Legacy Edition ($299.99) includes a Golden Gun figurine, Steel Case, Obsidian Gold Suit, and more.
