SNK has officially confirmed that Muay Thai legend Joe Higashi will be joining the roster of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves later this Fall, marking his first playable return to the series in over two decades.
A Legend Returns to South Town
Joe Higashi first appeared alongside Terry and Andy Bogard in the original Fatal Fury back in 1991. Known for his devastating kicks and flashy personality, Joe has long stood as one of the franchise’s most beloved icons. His last playable appearance was all the way back in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition (1999), making his comeback in City of the Wolves a long-awaited event for fans.
Joe joins the roster as the third Season Pass 1 character, following Andy Bogard and Ken Masters, and will be available at no extra cost to all players who own the game.
More Than Just a Fighter
In City of the Wolves, Joe isn’t just here to throw kicks; he’s also bringing new story content across both Arcade Mode and Episodes of South Town.
- Arcade Mode: Joe teams up with returning legacy fighter Cheng Sinzan to film The Legend of Joe, a feature-length biopic chronicling his life and Muay Thai legacy.
- Episodes of South Town: Joe stars in his own RPG-style adventure, exploring the city and reflecting on his relationship with his star pupil, Preecha.
Joe will be voiced by Kevin Andrew Rivera (EN) and Kozo Mito (JA), with both English and Japanese trailers available now.
