Square Enix Launching Killer Inn Closed Beta Test 2 This October

Square Enix has announced that its upcoming multiplayer murder mystery action game, Killer Inn, is heading into its second Closed Beta Test this October.

When the Closed Beta Runs

Players can register now on Steam for Killer Inn’s Closed Beta Test 2, which begins Friday, October 3, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. PDT / 6:00 p.m. EDT and ends Monday, October 13, 2025, at 2:59 p.m. PDT / 5:59 p.m. EDT. Anyone who participated in the first test back in July will automatically be included in the second one, while new players will be notified of their participation on October 1.

What’s New in CBT 2

The new beta builds on feedback gathered during the first test. Square Enix has rebalanced gameplay, tweaked some design elements, and added fresh features to flesh out the experience. As with before, players will be encouraged to share their impressions to help further refine the game before launch.

TGS Preview and Extra Invitations

Attendees of this year’s Tokyo Game Show will also get a chance to try the CBT 2 version of Killer Inn at Square Enix’s booth. Players who test it out at TGS will receive a code to join the October beta session.

Square Enix has shared the minimum and recommended PC specs for Killer Inn’s Closed Beta Test 2:

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 / Intel Core i5-7500 or better
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: Radeon RX 5500 XT (8GB) / GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or better
  • Storage: 75 GB SSD
  • Performance: 1080p @ 30 FPS

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 / Intel i7-9700K or i5-10600 or better
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: Radeon RX 5700 / GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER or better
  • Storage: 75 GB SSD
  • Performance: 1080p @ 60 FPS

More information on Killer Inn and its Closed Beta Test 2 will be shared via Square Enix’s social channels and the Steam News Hub leading up to the October start date.
