Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the upcoming throwback co-op brawler from Dotemu and Tribute Games, has revealed two new playable characters in its latest gameplay trailer. Black Panther and Cosmic Ghost Rider are officially joining the roster, bringing unique powers and devastating combo potential to the arcade-inspired beat ‘em up.
Cosmic Ghost Rider Rides Into Battle
Cosmic Ghost Rider, an alternate incarnation of Frank Castle (the Punisher), brings a fiery arsenal of weapons to Marvel Cosmic Invasion. Armed with chains, firearms, and his iconic Hell cycle, this intergalactic anti-hero is built to tear through enemies across space. The character is voiced by Brian Bloom, known for his work across video games and animation.
Wakanda Forever With Black Panther
T’Challa, the Black Panther, leaps into combat with vibranium claws, sonic daggers, and unparalleled martial arts skill. James Mathis III reprises his role as the king of Wakanda, following his performances in Marvel Rivals and Avengers Assemble.
Gameplay Features and Roster Expands
Players can choose two fighters and swap between them mid-fight using the Cosmic Swap system. This mechanic encourages creative team-ups and opens the door to explosive combos. Marvel Cosmic Invasion supports up to four-player local and online co-op with crossplay, allowing fans to unite against Annihilus’ Annihilation Wave.
Alongside Black Panther and Cosmic Ghost Rider, the roster includes Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Storm, She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Venom, Beta Ray Bill, Nova, Phyla-Vell, and Silver Surfer—with two more heroes yet to be revealed.
Brawler Legacy
Developed by the teams behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, Marvel Cosmic Invasion blends retro pixel art with modern mechanics. The game launches later this year for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox.
