Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Single Player Demo Arrives September 17 on Consoles and PC

SEGA has announced that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will let players get behind the wheel a little early with a brand-new single-player demo. The demo launches globally on September 17, 2025, giving fans a chance to experience the fast-paced racing action before the game’s full release on September 25.

For those who may have missed last month’s Open Network Test, this demo offers a chance to sample the upcoming arcade racer solo against Sonic and friends.

Platforms and Availability

The single-player demo will be available for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch. Notably, it will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One users.

Players worldwide can start racing at the following times:

  • United States (PST): Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 9:00 PM
  • United States (EST): Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 12:00 AM
  • United Kingdom (UTC): Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 4:00 AM
  • Japan (JST): Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 1:00 PM

Get Ready for CrossWorlds

CrossWorlds brings together Sonic and a roster of familiar faces in a brand-new racing adventure that blends speed with unique character abilities. With the demo arriving just over a week before launch, fans can jump in to see how the game handles before leaping into the full experience.

The full release of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds arrives September 25, 2025.
