Bohemia Interactive has released Update 1.6 for Arma Reforger, marking the tactical shooter’s biggest update yet. Available now across all platforms, the update introduces an entirely new map, a reworked conflict mode, single-player scenarios, and an expanded arsenal that deepens the series’ signature realism.
Return to Kolguyev
Fans of the Arma franchise will instantly recognize Kolguyev, the rugged volcanic island now fully rebuilt using Bohemia’s Enfusion engine. The new terrain trades Everon’s lush greenery for a harsher landscape of rocky ridges, pine forests, and industrial ruins. With hot springs, sulfur streams, and remnants of the island’s old coal operations, Kolguyev adds both strategic complexity and striking new vistas to explore.
Conflict Reimagined: HQC Mode
The game’s core multiplayer mode, Conflict, has received a complete overhaul, transforming into the new Headquarters Commander (HQC) mode. Players can now step into the role of Commander to manage resources, construct bases anywhere on the map, and issue objectives to squads. The new supply scarcity system encourages strategic thinking and improvisation, letting players shape the battlefield and influence the outcome of every operation.
Operation Omega and Solo Scenarios
For players craving single-player content, Update 1.6 adds two new missions. Operation Omega is a five-episode campaign that follows a special forces unit operating behind enemy lines, bringing back the cinematic storytelling Arma is known for. Meanwhile, Air Support focuses on helicopter transport, logistics, and close air support, perfect for players eager to test their piloting and coordination skills. Both experiences deliver story-driven, tactical missions reminiscent of classic Arma campaigns.
Expanded Arsenal and Realism Upgrades
Update 1.6 also expands Arma Reforger’s armory with new weapons and tools. The RPG-22 and RPG-75 launchers join the lineup, alongside new camouflage patterns, hand flares, and deployable engineer items like sandbags, static weapons, and anti-personnel mines.
The update also brings vehicle movement, a reworked FIA faction, HOTAS and peripheral support, and improved environmental effects for an even more immersive battlefield experience. A long list of performance optimizations rounds out the patch.
A New Chapter for Arma Reforger
With Arma Reforger’s 1.6 update, Bohemia Interactive continues to refine its sandbox military experience, blending the creative flexibility of Arma 3 with the technical power of the Enfusion engine.
