Fallout Day 2025 Recap: Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, Fallout 76 Burning Springs, and Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary

October 23rd is Fallout Day, a day of celebration for Fallout fans and probably mostly Bethesda. But during Fallout Day, Bethesda had some announcements that are sure to have you say, “huh, no kidding,” and scroll away. Let’s take a look at what was announced.

Above is the Fallout Day broadcast for 2025 in its entirety, less than a half-hour of reminiscing about the release of Fallout 4 and announcements for other games in the Fallout franchise. Since Bethesda purchased the rights to the Fallout franchise in 2007, the series has seen a resurgence in popularity followed by a cooling down period as Bethesda tries to figure out what to do with the franchise.

The first announcement is the Anniversary Edition for Fallout 4 to celebrate the game’s 10-year-anniversary. Going to take an editorial moment to say, it feels simultaneously longer and shorter than 10 years since the Fallout 4 release. But, 10 years have in fact passed and the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition was announced in full today.

Announced during the Fallout Day broadcast, the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition has a few things you’re bound to expect. The Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition comes with the base game, all six DLC add-ons, and over 150 pieces of Creation Club content bundled together. According to the website, the Creation Club content includes both fan favorites and previously unreleased items designed to “enhance your journey.”

The website for the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition proudly announces that for the first time ever, Creations are coming to Fallout 4 in the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. For those out of the know, this is just paid mods. Initially, the Creator’s Club at Bethesda has been slowly rolling out Creations for its games, starting with Skyrim and eventually moving to Starfield. Fallout 4 was the lone survivor — pardon the pun — holding out against paid mods until now.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition will release digitally for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 10th. Surprisingly, the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 version in 2026. I’m not much of a Nintendo Switch fan, but I’m always impressed when a big game gets a Switch version working. I’m usually subsequently disappointed when it does something like content streaming, but time makes fools of us all.

Fallout 4 isn’t the only one having an anniversary today. The fan-favorite but license-holder-maligned Fallout: New Vegas is celebrating its 15th anniversary and is receiving a physical anniversary bundle for you, physical media creeps out there.

Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Bundle

Remember when the $200 Fallout 76 Collector’s Edition released, and the promised canvas bag was a nylon one? No? Oh good, Bethesda has a new collector’s edition to sell you. The Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Bundle may not be a full $200, but it’s pretty darn close. Luckily, it doesn’t ship until June of 2026! So you’ll likely forget you even bought it by the time it comes out! Let’s see what’s inside.

  • Victor Statue (8″ PVC): The friendly Securitron stands tall and ready to roll.
  • Doc Mitchell’s Evaluation Cards (7×7 cardstock set): Straight from your first moments in Goodsprings, a true piece of New Vegas history.
  • Vault Boy Enamel Pin (1.5″): Vault Boy stacks the odds with poker chips in hand.
  • Mojave Express Patch (3.5″ × 1.9″): Woven, iron-on, and full of wasteland charm.
  • NCR Recon Patch (3.25″ × 3.5″): Woven, iron-on insignia of the New California Republic’s finest.
  • Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition: Includes the full game PC digital code plus:
    • Dead Money DLC
    • Honest Hearts DLC
    • Old World Blues DLC
    • Lonesome Road DLC
    • Courier’s Stash Weapon Pack
    • Gun Runner’s Arsenal Weapon Pack
  • Collector’s Big Box: A throwback-style display box created exclusively for the anniversary.

I’m not here to judge, but for $150, what could go wrong, right? The shame is that Fallout: New Vegas is the best thing to happen to the Fallout series since Fallout 2, but instead of getting a follow-up to that, we get a patch, an enamel pin, and an 8″ PVC statue. Physical woes be damned, I want more seasonal content! Well…

Fallout Shelter Introduces Seasons

Initially released in 2015, Fallout Shelter is introducing Seasons to the mobile game. Inspired by the highly unethical experiments performed by Vault-Tec, each Season will bring on new challenges and rewards as you hit milestones. Of course, what Seasonal content wouldn’t be complete without a battle pass? That’s right, Fallout Shelter is getting a battle pass. Praise be. Production Director Veronique Bruneau had this to say about Seasons:

People sharing their ‘perfect layouts’ and tips and tricks for other players. Even I’ve gotten some unexpected advice from players online. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you’ll do with all the new stuff we’re going to be adding to the game!

Inspiring stuff. Fallout Shelter’s seasonal content and battle pass have no official release date yet; the website just says that it’s coming soon. However, I can’t imagine it’ll come any sooner than the new DLC for Fallout 76.

“Burning Springs” DLC for Fallout 76 Releases on December 2nd, 2025

The map expansion introduces a new arid region in Ohio where you’ll meet the brutal Rust King, battle deathclaws, and participate in two new public events in the biggest map expansion yet. The trailer above showcases a few things, including the voice work of the talented Walton Goggins, who covers the bounty hunting system. Although I’m not sure much needs to be elaborated upon. The entire trailer is narrated by Goggins, whose Fallout TV Series character will be brought to life in-game.

Fallout 76 is also getting native versions for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in early 2026 with optimizations for PS4 and Xbox One players. Fallout 76: Burning Springs will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra starting December 2nd. Keep an eye on MonsterVine for ongoing coverage of Fallout Day, Action RPGs, and Bethesda Titles.
