The streets of San Vansterdam are about to get a whole lot livelier. EA’s skate. has revealed full details on its first season of live content. Season 1: Hesh & Fresh launches with brand-new events, challenges, cosmetics, and even a ’90s-inspired soundtrack to set the tone.
Expanding San Vansterdam With Seasonal Content
Every season in skate. expands the world of San Vansterdam with new skateable areas, events, and tasks. For Season 1, players can expect:
- Skate-o-Ween (Oct. 21 – Nov. 11): Celebrate Halloween San Van style with goofy costumes, festive city decorations, and a more lighthearted take on the spooky season.
- 7-Ply Maple Harvest (Nov. 18 – Dec. 2): A long-standing community festival that honors San Van’s unique maple trees. In the 70s, skaters discovered that wood was perfectly suited for skateboard construction. The celebration is a tradition rooted in accomplishments, growth, and reflection.
Fresh Challenges, Brands, and Soundtrack Additions
Season 1 will feature 40 new Challenges rotating weekly, alongside daily, weekly, seasonal, and event Tasks that reward players with Tix and unlockable cosmetics.
Players can also look forward to new brand partners in the in-game store, including Santa Cruz, Independent, and Creature—three names synonymous with skate culture. And for the perfect throwback soundtrack, Season 1 adds 21 new 90s-inspired tracks from legendary artists like Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., Ice Cube, and more. The full playlist will be revealed soon.
The Lighting Update and skate.Pass
Launching alongside the season is the Lighting Update, enhancing the city’s atmosphere with improved visuals. Players can also dive deeper into progression with the new skate.Pass, offering themed cosmetics and rewards tied directly to seasonal play.

Season 1 marks the beginning of skate.’s ongoing seasonal structure, with each update bringing a new theme, events, and ways to engage with the skating community.
