SOPA: Tale of the Stolen Potato Launches on Game Pass, Xbox, PS5, and PC — A Magical Adventure Set in South America

StudioBando’s heartfelt, Pixar-like adventure SOPA: Tale of the Stolen Potato is now available on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Game Pass, inviting players to embark on a journey filled with warmth, wonder, and nostalgia.

Inspired by the emotional storytelling of Coco, Spirited Away, and The Little Prince, SOPA weaves a tale that’s as comforting as the first sip of hot soup on a cold day and just as vital as the memories passed down through generations.

A Magical Journey Through South America

Players step into the shoes of Miho, a young boy tasked with fetching a potato for his grandmother’s soup, only to be whisked away into a mysterious, magical realm inspired by the heart and vibrancy of South America.

As Miho searches for ingredients in this dreamlike world, he begins to retrace the steps of an ancient explorer, unraveling a deeply personal story about family, time, and connection. But every time Miho returns home with a new ingredient, something unexpected has changed…

The game blends 3D exploration, gentle puzzles, and touching dialogue with lush, painterly visuals reminiscent of Pixar’s storytelling and Studio Ghibli’s charm.
