Digital Extremes revealed during its latest Soulframe Devstream that players can become Soulframe Founders starting November 25, coinciding with the release of the Preludes 12 update on PC. The Founders program introduces four unique purchase tiers, each offering exclusive in-game gear, cosmetics, Arcs currency, and permanent recognition inside the game’s world.
The studio will publish full pricing and details on the official Founders website ahead of launch.
Preludes 12: New Weapon Type and Key Gameplay Improvements
The free Preludes 12 update adds new systems and quality-of-life upgrades. Players can wield the Greatsword, a new grip type designed to offer heavy, sweeping melee options against wildlife and corrupted enemies. New-player onboarding is receiving a significant rewrite, making it easier to understand how to begin Fables, track objectives, and discover the game’s broader progression flow.
Early-game improvements also include Grandfa’s Hut, a new location where players can test all three starting Pacts before committing. Exploration gets an upgrade too, with clearer destination markers and faster travel options using Wevetseeds. Meanwhile, a new elixir called The Cogah lets players rematch the roaming Agari sub-bosses at higher difficulty for better rewards.
Weapon specialization expands through new Totems and Runes, giving players more control over how they develop their builds.
New Encounters, Vendors, and Characters
Preludes 12 sets the stage for more content rolling out soon. A new Nightfold vendor, Zenith, joins the world offering Founders-related options and various goods. The update also introduces Siege Encounters, fortified side-areas overrun by the Ode. Players can storm these bases, defeat sub-bosses, and topple the balloon that marks Ode control. Each Siege now feeds into a persistent Infamy rating, which shifts depending on how aggressively the mission was approached.
Digital Extremes also teased a new major character: Alora, the Empress of Eldveil, played by Jennifer English (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33).
Founders Paths and Permanent Recognition
Players can choose from three Wyld Envoy paths:
- Wyld Tethren – Courage-focused melee fighter
- Wyld Oscelda – Spirit-driven mage
- Wyld Sirin – Graceful archer
Each Founder path includes an exclusive Pact, themed weapons, armour, talismans, dyes, bird cosmetics, Arcs, and invite codes, plus a Warframe crossover cosmetic: the Envoy’s Sphere Sword Skin.
The highest tier, Paragon, grants every item from all three paths alongside a Paragon-exclusive Greatsword, additional Arcs, extra crafting items, and ten total invites. Founders also earn a permanent place in the Eternium Garden, where their engraved flora becomes part of the world’s history.
How to Join Soulframe Preludes
