Digital Extremes is closing out 2025 with a major milestone for Warframe: the launch of The Old Peace, the next narrative chapter, arriving December 10 across all platforms. Revealed during the studio’s final Devstream of the year, this update brings a fresh cinematic questline set on a distant Tau moon, a brand-new game mode, expanded Focus School Ultimate abilities, the debut of Uriel, the game’s 63rd Warframe, and updates spanning weapons, cosmetics, and even TennoCon 2026.
The Perita Rebellion: A New Story-Driven Battlefield Mode
A centerpiece of The Old Peace is The Perita Rebellion, a new 12-minute survival-style mission blending large-scale combat, objective variety, and boss battles. Players enter a war-torn Tau moon and complete shifting challenges to earn temporary power boosts before facing one of three brutal final bosses. The mode also introduces the Anarchs, a faction of Dax, Grineer, and even stolen Prime Warframes acting as relentless mini-bosses.
Tauron Strikes Bring Cinematic Ultimate Abilities to All Five Focus Schools
For the first time, each Focus School gains a massive new Ultimate ability called a Tauron Strike spectacle-driven, Void-infused supers designed to reshape the flow of endgame combat. These abilities expand the existing Focus trees and can be unlocked and upgraded using new Perita-based resources and artifacts traded via Marie of The Devil’s Triad. The final three Tauron Strikes, Madurai’s Thara, Vazarin’s Nidri, and Zenurik’s Lorak, were revealed during the Devstream.
Uriel Joins the Arsenal as the 63rd Warframe
Rising from the lore of The Devil’s Triad faction, Uriel is a demonic commander forged from the Protoframe Roathe. With a kit built around brimstone, infernal summons, and overwhelming force, Uriel is positioned as a fiery, aggressive Warframe who bends the battlefield through both direct attacks and summoned fiends. Players can earn Uriel via The Descendia or purchase him instantly with Platinum.
Bayonets, Primes, and Deluxe Cosmetics Expand the Arsenal
The Old Peace also debuts Warframe’s first Bayonet weapon, the Vinquibus, a hybrid Primary/Melee tool that combines rifle precision with close-quarters brutality.
Meanwhile, Gyre Prime headlines the next Prime Access wave, bringing the Alternox Prime and Kestrel Prime.
Voruna fans can also grab the Medeina Deluxe Skin, arriving with matching weapon and ephemera cosmetics inspired by Art Nouveau designs.
Operation: Blood of Perita Brings Limited-Time Rewards
Beginning December 16 and running through January 6, the new Operation: Blood of Perita lets players collect Marks of Valiance through Perita Rebellion missions and Alerts. These can be exchanged for exclusive items, including the evolving Loiaus Chest Armor and the Honoria player title. This event is accessible only after completing The Old Peace quest.
