Code Vein II Walkthrough Trailer Reveals Sunken City and Character Creator Demo Dates

Bandai Namco has released a new walkthrough trailer for Code Vein II, alongside announcing a playable Character Creator Demo arriving later this month. The demo will be available on January 22, 2026, for PC via Steam, followed by January 23, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Code Vein II is set to launch on January 30, 2026, and is currently available for pre-order across all platforms.

Journey Into the Past With Josée Anjou

The newly released walkthrough trailer takes players 100 years into the past, following the Revenant Hunter protagonist alongside Josée Anjou on a mission tied to the fate of the Sunken City. Haunted by guilt, Josée’s story explores the emotional burden she carries and the dire circumstances that led to the city’s collapse.

Central to the trailer is the Sunken Pylon, a massive dungeon said to hold the key to purifying the flooded ruins. Players are shown engaging in intense combat using seven distinct weapon types, ranging from fast dual blades to the heavy-hitting halberd.

The trailer also highlights the Restorative Offering mechanic, which allows partners to revive the fallen Revenant Hunter with restored health. However, using this ability temporarily incapacitates the partner due to a cooldown, adding tactical risk during combat encounters.

Character Creator Demo Arrives Before Launch

Ahead of release, players will be able to dive into Code Vein II’s extensive customization systems through the upcoming Character Creator Demo. The demo supports 64 save slots, all of which can be transferred directly into the full game at launch.

Players can fully customize their Revenant Hunter with detailed options for body type, hairstyles, facial features, expressions, accessories, makeup, and more. The demo also includes access to the MagMell Institute hot spring, allowing players to view their characters in various lighting conditions, as well as a Photo Mode for capturing and saving their creations.

A World on the Brink of Collapse

Code Vein II features a narrative-driven action RPG experience centered on themes of blood, fate, and destiny. Set in a future where humanity and Revenants cling to survival, players will explore haunting environments such as the Sunken City, Undead Forest, MagMell Island, and other post-apocalyptic locations.

Combat builds on the series’ signature mechanics, allowing players to drain blood from enemies to unlock powerful abilities, experiment with Blood Codes for strategic customization, and wield unique weapons and equipment known as Jails to overcome formidable enemies and epic boss encounters.
