D3Publisher has officially launched Run for Money: Hunter VS Runner! Which Side Will You Win!? worldwide, bringing its high-stakes chase action to Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Inspired by the long-running Japanese television series Run for Money, the latest entry introduces global online multiplayer and, for the first time in franchise history, lets players take control of the Hunters themselves.
A High-Speed Chase Inspired by a Hit TV Series
At its core, Run for Money: Hunter VS Runner! is all about tension and risk. Players taking on the role of Runners are given a brief head start before Hunters are released into compact arenas. Survive the full 15-minute timer to claim maximum rewards, or cash out early to lock in winnings, though getting caught means losing everything. Each match becomes a calculated gamble between greed and survival.
Play as the Hunter for the First Time
A major new addition to the series is Hunter Mode, allowing players to step into the role of the relentless pursuers. Equipped with redesigned Hunter models, players can track down Runners with precision and speed, competing for the fastest clear times while climbing global leaderboards.
Online Multiplayer and Competitive Modes
The game introduces the series’ first global online multiplayer mode, supporting matches for up to 12 players. In addition to standard matchmaking, the new Hunters vs. Runners mode offers a tactical 4v8 experience, where Runners can fight back using weapons obtained through in-match missions. Competitive leaderboards track both efficiency in Hunter Mode and earnings in Hunters vs. Runners, encouraging repeated play.
Platform Availability and Online Features
Run for Money: Hunter VS Runner! is available now on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with release timing varying slightly by region. Online play on Nintendo platforms requires an active Nintendo Switch Online membership, while cross-play between Steam and Nintendo versions is not supported. Local multiplayer options are also available depending on mode and setup.
