What do you get when you mix cyborg high schoolers, rogue capitalism, and a skyscraper full of undead office workers? D3Publisher’s newly announced Full Metal Schoolgirl, a high-speed, trial-and-error action game hitting PlayStation 5 on October 23, promises just that—and more.
Set in a dystopian Japan ruled by an exploitative mega-corp called Meternal Jobz, Full Metal Schoolgirl follows two machine-enhanced schoolgirls on a mission to obliterate the system from the inside out. Their battleground? A 100-story corporate tower filled with deathtraps, mechanized “working dead,” and a final boss who just might be the CEO from hell.
A Rogue Tower of Corporate Dread
Every floor in Meternal Jobz HQ is procedurally generated, meaning traps, enemies, and layouts shift with every run. Players must adapt on the fly, mastering over 100 different weapons and equipment options—from chainsaws and blades to shotguns and Gatling guns. The combat is up-close and frenetic, with the machine girl’s weaponized limbs transforming instantly to match the situation.
Die mid-run, and you’ll restart at floor one—but with a twist. Materials, cash (from livestreaming your battles), and rewards collected on previous attempts can be used to enhance your core systems. These permanent upgrades give players the edge they need to climb higher and hit harder.
Streamer Energy Meets Armored Mayhem
In true satirical fashion, your machine girl earns money by broadcasting her bloody ascent to the internet. Between runs, you’ll spend that cash upgrading weapon slots, MODs, and core stats, making each climb more manageable than the last.
Producer Nobuyuki Okajima frames it best:
“Have you ever wanted to be a machine girl? A famous streamer? To blow up your soul-crushing office job? Full Metal Schoolgirl will make all your wishes come true.”
