Rebel Wolves, in partnership with Bandai Namco, has unveiled a fresh look at its upcoming action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker, sharing new details during January’s Full Wolf Moon. The game is set to launch later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The newly released teaser offers another glimpse into the dark fantasy world awaiting players, featuring new characters, previously unseen locations, and footage captured from the game’s current PC beta build.
A Deeper Look at Vale Sangora
The teaser introduces several key characters who will play important roles throughout the adventure, while also highlighting new areas within Vale Sangora, a mysterious region nestled in the Carpathian Mountains. This foreboding land is described as rich with secrets, encouraging exploration and discovery as players navigate its dangers.
Gameplay shown in the teaser reflects the game’s current development state, offering a clearer sense of its tone, combat, and atmospheric world design.
Official Cover Art Revealed
Alongside the new video, Rebel Wolves unveiled the official cover art for The Blood of Dawnwalker. The artwork depicts protagonist Coen, a Dawnwalker cursed to live as a human by day and a vampire by night, standing before a dramatic solar eclipse. The imagery emphasizes the duality at the heart of the game’s narrative, where both sunlight and darkness play crucial roles in shaping the world and its characters.
Main Musical Theme Debuts
Rebel Wolves also premiered the game’s main musical theme in a studio recording session video. The theme was composed by Nikola Kołodziejczyk, the studio’s lead composer, and performed by the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of Tychy.
According to Kołodziejczyk, the composition draws heavily from sounds and instruments tied to the game’s setting and historical inspiration. The music aims to reflect the 14th-century Carpathian region, grounding the fantasy in historical authenticity and cultural identity.
Looking Back and Ahead
To mark the Wolf Moon and reflect on the road to launch, Rebel Wolves also released a retrospective video celebrating the past year of development milestones. The video revisits the game’s initial reveal, extensive gameplay presentations, and appearances at major industry events, while acknowledging the role of community feedback in shaping the project.
