Star Wars: Galactic Racer Gameplay Trailer Heralds the Return of 2 Podracers

A new Star Wars: Galactic Racer trailer debuted as part of today’s State of Play presentation, giving viewers a new look at the high-octane racing gameplay.

The video is filled to the brim with the explosive and incredibly fast races that players will get to experience in the game, as well as a couple of small story snippets. Perhaps most excitingly, a short clip towards the end of the trailer shows Sebulba and Ben Quadinaros — two memorable podracers from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace — taking part in the action. Unfortunately, there’s still no release date for Star Wars: Galactic Racer beyond its 2026 window.

You can see the high-speed races in action for yourself in the new Star Wars: Galactic Racer on YouTube YouTube below:

What is the story of Star Wars: Galactic Racer about?

“Play as Shade in an immersive campaign, choosing from a branching path of events to earn parts, tools and upgrades that will give you an edge in the championship,” reads the official description. “Try out new build strategies in different repulsorcraft – landspeeders, skim speeders, speeder bikes, and, of course, podracers – and work with mechanic Hibi to build the ultimate vehicle to suit your racing style. Race, adapt, and master new strategies as you forge alliances and takedown rivals on your path to becoming champion of the Galactic League.”
