Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26, with pre-orders available now on the eShop in North America and Europe.
Developer Ember Lab is bringing its award-winning action-adventure to Nintendo’s new platform with a complete package that includes post-launch content and added features from previous versions.
A second life on Nintendo hardware
Originally released in 2021, Kena: Bridge of Spirits built a strong following thanks to its mix of exploration, puzzles, and combat. The Switch 2 version keeps that structure intact, putting you in control of Kena as she travels to a sacred mountain shrine while helping spirits move on.
The game leans heavily on its atmosphere and character design, especially through the Rot companions that assist in combat and environmental interactions. That core experience remains unchanged here, just adapted for the new hardware.
Includes Anniversary DLC and New Game+
The Switch 2 release comes bundled with the Anniversary DLC, which adds extra content that wasn’t available at launch. This includes Charmstones that modify your abilities, Spirit Guide Trials for combat challenges, and additional outfits for Kena.
New Game+ is also included from the start. After finishing the game, you can replay it with your upgrades and abilities carried over, alongside tougher encounters and reworked enemy setups.
Combat, exploration, and customization
Kena’s gameplay still revolves around balancing exploration with combat encounters. You collect Rot to unlock new abilities, clear corruption, and access hidden paths across the environment.
Customization plays a role through items like Rot Hats and Charmstones, letting you tweak both visuals and gameplay effects. Combat mixes melee and ranged attacks, supported by your Rot companions and upgradeable skills.
A strong fit for Switch 2
Kena: Bridge of Spirits already runs across multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. This Switch 2 version appears to be a complete edition rather than a stripped-down port.
If you missed it the first time, this is an easy entry point. If you’ve already played it, the added portability and bundled content may be enough to revisit it.
