Shueisha Games and DeskWorks have released a new trailer for Chronoscript: The Endless End, revealing the game’s Age of Discovery stage. The new look at the hand-drawn action-adventure game shows fresh environments, new enemies, and boss encounters ahead of its planned 2026 release.
The game is coming to PlayStation and PC via Steam, with wishlists available now.
Trapped Inside a Manuscript
In Chronoscript: The Endless End, players take on the role of an editor trapped inside a mysterious manuscript. To escape, they must unravel a thousand-year story that continues writing itself beyond its intended ending.
The game shifts between pen-and-ink 2D manuscript pages and a 3D manor filled with scattered writing. That structure lets players move between illustrated environments and the writer’s mansion, which acts as a hub themed around different eras of world history.
Age of Discovery Introduces New Threats
The newly revealed Age of Discovery stage is built around themes of exploration and pioneering. Like other areas in the game, it is formed from hand-drawn pages and filled with enemies tied to the manuscript’s long-running history.
Players will face Cursed Remnants, distorted figures who once shaped history and now return as hostile forces. Defeating bosses will reveal more about the grim stories behind them.
Hand-Drawn Action Coming in 2026
Chronoscript: The Endless End features 2D action-platforming with ink-based traversal abilities that expand over time. The game’s characters, enemies, backgrounds, and animations are all hand-drawn in pen and ink.
Chronoscript: The Endless End launches in 2026 for PlayStation and Steam.
