Thrifty Business will launch on May 18 for PC and Mac via Steam, developer Spellgarden Games announced.
The new game comes from the team behind Sticky Business and shifts from running a sticker shop to managing a cozy thrift store. In Thrifty Business, players will sort through boxes of secondhand items, build displays, help customers, and grow their shop into a community space.
Run and customize your own thrift shop
Set in a 90s-inspired world, Thrifty Business puts players in charge of a vintage thrift store filled with clothes, antiques, toys, and other pre-loved items. Players can search through boxes to uncover new finds, then organize them on shelves and displays however they want.
The game also includes store customization options, letting players change furniture, wallpaper, flooring, and décor to shape the look of their shop. As the business grows, players can open additional rooms and expand the store further.
Build a community space
Alongside managing inventory and displays, Thrifty Business will let players interact with a cast of customers, fulfill requests, and unlock hobbyist events. These activities are designed to turn the shop into a local gathering place rather than just a retail space.
According to Spellgarden Games, the title includes more than 500 items to place around the store, along with precision placement tools for arranging displays.
From the team behind Sticky Business
Thrifty Business is the latest project from Spellgarden Games, the indie studio behind Sticky Business and Ritual of Raven.
